By this drawing I wanted to show the human resemblance. The only difference between people is the color of the skin and the anatomy of the face. I didn’t want to be literal and depict a person of a definite race that’s why I covered the head of the man with the hat.
I wanted to show the beauty of our world, which is not homogeneous but consisting of different colors and shades.
In October 2007, the auction will be organized to sell different segments. All received funds from the auction will be donated to orphanages for development of artistic centers for youth.

The Bench of Piece is the longest bench in the world, 302 meters. It is made up of 151 segments (L2m. x W1m.) Around 1500 people can sit on the bench at the same time.
The Bench of Peace is an exhibition under the open sky; it is a contemporary form of artistic display that takes the viewer beyond the museum's walls. It's a public art that unites various genres and that is accessible to all.
At the end of three days, the bench will be taken apart. 50 segments will remain on Lavrushensky per., and the rest will be distributed across Moscow centre.
The idea of my work is following: The man is lying on the sand. He’s taking a rest and seems very relaxed. His appearance is quite abstract. His body consists of multicolored parts of skin. The face is covered with a straw hat.
